Here is a photo I took the other day after climbing the hill at Centara Resort in Ao Nang. This is a land-locked private beach and pool resort, you have to climb up and down a couple hundred steps to reach it, or just take a long-tail boat around to reach it. It is a really beautiful beach and not near any sewage, like part of Ao Nang is.
What do you think? Nice place to stay? You haven’t even seen the accommodations yet! They’re lovely!
If you are looking for a cheap and well done hostel in Krabi Town during your visit, you should probably just go to the one everyone knows about and everyone uses: Pak Up Hostel on the corner of Uttarakit and Chao Fa Roads in downtown.
This hostel is located in an ideal spot at the heart of Krabi Town and within walking distance to The Pier, Firenze Restaurant (best Italian in Krabi), Post Office, Police, Vogue Mall, etc. It is easy to get a tuk-tuk, song-thaew, or motorbike taxi from this hostel. There is a bar on the top called “Top Up” – as in top up your beer.
